Since 2013/2014, the team has been affiliated with the Research Association (GDR), ‘Knowledge of Central Europe’

The Institute of Slavonic Studies was created in 1919 by the historian Ernest Denis with the help of the French, Czechoslovakian and Yugoslavian governments, and, from 1923, with the added participation of Poland. The Institute of Slavic Studies has a formal link with the UMR, from which is taken its three mission purposes : information, documentation and publishing.
